About Us The heart of the club today is the Saturday club runs, which cover the quieter roads of Surrey, Sussex, Kent and Hampshire, attracting up to 50 riders who split into four groups. These groups are affectionally called the A's (Alphas); B plus; B minus and not least the C's.
During the summer months many club members compete in both road races and time trialling events with the club promoting two open road races and a series of club time trials each year. In recent years, Club members has enjoyed success in cyclo-sportives in the UK and quite regularily plan trips abroard to similar long distance events, especially in France, Italy and Belgium. Since 1999 the club has promoted a sportive event in late springtime, The May Flyer. A training weekend to the South Coast with an overnight stay and return the next day happens every April. Club members also organise a training week in Majorca with cyclists from other local clubs joining us on this trip. All members of the Club receive, an annual year book, copies of our quarterly newsletter, Bottom Gear . The Club Secretary also keeps members up to date on forthcoming event and deadlines via our email newsgroup. Plus there is the calendar on the home page of this site that gives members ideas of what is happening.
