All the following Newsletters were donated by Mr. Les Warner MBE, SWRC member and Cyclist Touring Club CEO 1971-80. He was SWRC newsletter Editor 1945 - 1955, and who sadly died in 2010. Link
During the early 1970's Bill Morgan 1971-77, continued to edit the club newsletter then Geoff Parsons 1978-82 took over.
During the 80's Bob Squirrell 1983 and Fred Parsons 1984-85 gave it a go then Philip Parkinson 1986-89 took the job on.
After 50 years based in Wandsworth, the club moved away from it's original home in 1980 to it's present home in Chessington.
The 90's started with a club sponsor in the shape of Evans Cycles and the editor was Caroline Schouten 1990-92. Graham Bromley 1993-95 took over and then Simon Jordan 1995-96, took the helm and gave the newsletter a fresh look with a re-branded name - Bottom Gear.
Then there was the 12 years of editorial reign of Tony Sayers who brought Bottom Gear into the modern age of word processors and computer downloads. Tony was newsletter editor from 1997 - 2008
