We welcome new members to South Western Road Club and invite you to participate in up to three rides before you decide if you would like to join us.
We offer four categories of membership:-

First claim members do not belong to another cycling club, or nominate SWRC as their first claim club if racing or claiming awards. Second claim members belong to another cycling club which they represent for competitions or awards. Family membership includes all family members living at the same address and includes any children still in full-time education.
The membership year begins on 1st November. New members between 1st July and 31st October pay half the annual fee. Those who join between 1st October and 30th June pay a full year’s fee.
New members pay an additional joining fee of £20 for which they receive a single voucher for a short-sleeved club jersey (usual cost approximately £30). Second claim members do not pay a joining fee and do not receive a jersey voucher.

You should read and understand the club ride safety advice and tips before joining one of our rides.
You should accept responsibility for your own conduct and safety (including the safety of your bicycle and other equipment) during Club activities. You are responsible for your own safety and individuals take part in any group rides at their own risk. SWRC and its club members accept no responsibility for the safety of anyone participating in group rides, and no liability in the event of an accident. We strongly recommend that you take out appropriate third party insurance. Membership of British Cycling or Cycling UK will give suitable third party liability insurance for accidents which are your fault.
Membership cards can be printed out from your entry into the membership database at any time. You will receive an email copy of the card each year when your membership payment is received.
